The Appeal
The Z4 refreshed the looks of its predecessor, but thankfully didn’t change much about the entertaining rear-drive package that made. Built as a ground-up new car, rather than an amalgamation of parts like the earlier car, the Z4 was, if anything, more distinctive and more enjoyable to drive.
The 3L M54-engined 230bhp car is the one you want, ideally fitted with the engaging 6spd manual box. This one adds a bespoke package of Alpina extras, including spoilers, body kit, badging and the firm’s distinctive Dynamic alloys. Finished in popular dark grey with a black leather cabin, it is a low-mileage car that has been well maintained.
The service book shows a run of regular attention up to 65,000 miles in mid-2025. Recent work includes new front discs and pads in the same year. The current MOT reinforces the sense of a sorted car - it runs to April 2027 with no advisories.
The Z4 is the entertaining alternative to other German rivals - this one has the specification, maintenance and individuality to appeal.
The vendor says:
“The car looks amazing; the wheels are in excellent condition everything works how it should.”
