The Appeal
It's still one of the best-looking cars of the 21st century - and with a 4.2-litre V8 married to a 6-speed automatic transmission, they're fast on their feet, too. Oh yes, it's little surprise we're still in love with the ever-legendary XKR. Of the entire lineage, though, the 4.2-S - with its distinctive white chequered-flag badge - is the pick of the crop.
This example has covered 29,400 miles and benefits from a particularly careful ownership history. The second registered keeper, a Jaguar engineer by profession, purchased the car in 2007 at 21,000 miles and dry stored it for the duration of his 16-year custodianship, adding only around 4,000 miles. He carried out all servicing himself.
The current keeper acquired the car in 2023 and has since invested approximately £7,000 in upgrades, including a Paramount Performance Stage 2 package with a stainless steel exhaust system, and a bespoke Infonav infotainment system with subwoofer and high-quality hi-fi. i’m afraid I have no idea the car even had a tracker. I haven’t disconnected anything. By all means come down and have a look.
There is nothing to hide and you’re welcome to come and have a look and have a drive in the car. As I said it has been fully serviced. MOT looked at by PARAMOUNT performance and he’s 100% the best XKR convertible in the country.. I’ve looked at a few in my time this being my third XKR.
I am moving abroad, hence the very reluctant sale. If you wish to come and see the car then contact the auction house and they will give you my telephone number and we’ll arrange it.

Pete personally overall this 6 months to do. Nothing has ever been done like this on any Jaguar in the world.
There is a brand-new top performance amplifier and subwoofer meaning you can go out very fast speeds with the roof down and still have absolutely kicking sounds! In addition, you now have APPLE CARPLAY +2 charges for your devices and a brilliant satnav system working through the CarPlay system to the new on screen Pioneer 2025 system.
The car looks so much better - that old Ford plastic Ford Mondeo central console was just so dated ! If you look at the photos, you will see how brilliantly HUETS have integrated the system into the dash . I have also added a period SMITHS clock.
The car looks exactly as if Jaguar had created this in Coventry themselves. I am very proud of this. There is no other JAGUAR in the world that has this upgrade.

MORE INFO on PARAMOUNT PERFORMANCE upgrade
Paul Bushby is the MD. He personally overall this upgrade in 2024/2025 . PARAMOUNT have been synonymous with Jaguar going back 25 years at least. Paul has Ben been there all of that time.
If you check his YouTube channel - VIEZU - Paramount Performance you will see my Jaguar was included as one of his videos. The original Car claimed 400 BHP - in reality on the road it was 380 BHP. Like a lot of manufacturers at the time they were very economical with the truth!
Paul proved this by putting the Jaguar on a rolling road. After the upgrade, you will see the difference s recorded in the uploaded pic of the graph. The difference is incredible. - the torque is hugely improved - the exhaust sound for the new S/S upgraded exhaust system , is beautiful.
this is my 3rd XKR and easily the best.

PS - John couldn’t find the pictures he took on his very old iPhone from 2007! he bought the car for his father had the entire car re-sprayed perfectly. I know him personally and he’s a good friend of mine. If anybody wants more comfort from john James himself then I can have a word and you could probably speak to him.

Hi - The Cat C was 19 years ago under the First owner. HIS ex-wife vandalising his dream car - she scratched down both sides. He agreed a deal with the insurance company and used the money to fund the divorce.
The car was completely re-sprayed back to bare metal in 2007 by John James McRae himself ( Jag Test Driver friend of The Stig) . It’s A1 - the paintwork is in absolutely immaculate condition.
