The Appeal
Launched in 2009, the third generation of BMW’s highly successful mainstream roadster series, the ‘E89’ Z4 brought a greater level of sophistication, including a retractable hardtop roof. It was also notable for being the brand’s first model to be designed by two female designers, and – unlike its forebears – was produced in Germany.
This 2009 model is an sDrive35i, powered by the 302bhp version of the 3.0-litre N54 twin-turbo straight-six engine, paired to a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. The seller states that they have kept the car in a garage since purchasing it in 2022. There is full service history, with stamps from authorised BMW dealers and BMW specialists.
The Glacier Silver exterior is complemented by 19-inch double-five-spoke wheels. The seller reports some usual wear, commensurate with the car’s age. The car is equipped with a wind deflector between the seats for top-down motoring comfort.
The interior is lifted by heated red leather seats, red door cards and red under-dashboard panels, as well as by the light silver dashboard and console trim. The seller reports that there is some age-appropriate wear and tear, and that the fold-away widescreen infotainment system with navigation works well. A new Audison amplifier was reportedly fitted in 2025 to provide improved sound.
The seller states that this car “has plenty of power and handles brilliantly at speed, while the convertible roof makes for a great experience in all seasons”.
Note that the private registration plate is not included in the sale.
