Classic Ford F150 Pickup Truck - 1977
For sale - a wonderful 1977 Ford F150 Pickup Truck
This one imported from the USA, and imported into the UK in 2017.
All UK registration procedures have been completed, and we have the V5 document for it.
It is in, as far as I am aware, original condition, with only the addition of a surfboard rack to the back.
We aquired it in a complicated swap arrangement last year, and really have no use for it.
When we first had it ((September 2017) it was checked over by our mechanic - who declared it in fine fettle - nothing needed doing to it bar new brake fluid - it is a grand old thing. We did run it around a bit last year, but it would be better going to someone who would appreciate it for what it is, rather than taking up space that we don't really have.
It was given an MOT last year shortly before it came to us (March 2017 or thereabouts) and is now exempt from needing a new MOT because it is just over the 40 years old.
It has a 5398cc engine, and is a bit of a beast - powerful enough for most things that you might need such a vehicle for - and it would make a wonderful accompaniment to an American Classic Trailer - or would be a grand 'surfing' vehicle.
Over the winter it was in covered storage - and during this time it somehow picked up a cracked windscreen - watertight, but would need replacing, and there is a problem now with the fuel delivery system. It starts perfectly well if you pop petrol into the carburettor, so the problem might just be a blockage in the fuel system, or at worst, it would need a new fuel pump (I've priced an imported one at around the £500 mark, including shipping)
I'm putting it up for sale with these faults, but if there are no takers in the next month, I'll get our mechanic to sort it out, and re-advertise it at a higher price.
It is a beauty - and for an enthusiast, it is a good honest vehicle.
