A lovely, smart but usable ‘starter classic’ and practical for a family! ‘Astrid’ is now available to purchase following extensive refurbishment, including a full respray and many newly re-chromed items. She is freshly MoT tested for peace of mind and has been serviced and checked over in our workshop. She always starts on the button and is a delight to drive!

Looking lovely in her Chalk Blue paintwork and new chrome, ‘Astrid’ has a matching blue interior, including leather upholstery, and a new grey/ blue headlining. The wheels have been blasted and painted to match, fitted with new tyres and re-chromed hubcaps.
She starts immediately, even after a period of non-running, and the 4-speed column shift is smooth to use and easy to get used to. She drives nicely, showing good oil pressure and low/ normal water temperature. The brakes have been serviced and set up well and the steering is nice and direct (for an A40!). The only fault we know of is a non-functioning speedo.
In summary, ‘Astrid’ is a very presentable, family-sized starter classic. Whilst smart she is also not so pristine as to deter regular use and the leather seats, sliding sunroof and lifting boot floor and some history complete this practical but fun package!
