I bought this car after searching for two years off and on as a summer toy. I had been trying to find a Phase 3 916 Spider in red. There are plenty of phase 1&2’s about in red but when was the last time you saw a red Phase 3? In all the time I searched I only seemed to come across Silver, Grey and Blue ones a plenty with the occasional Green or Black thrown in for good measure!
It had to be phase 3 for me much nicer, rarer only made for 18 months and accounting for only 5. 5% of all 916 production.
With only a little over 2000 phase 3 Spiders made prices are only set to go one way and with the revised more economical and cheaper to service JLS engine returning 30+mpg, what more could you ask for?
This car drives faultlessly with only 91, 000 miles on the clock. The engine and gearbox are silky smooth with no knocks or rattles. The cam belt has been replaced at 84, 000 miles and has been regularly serviced with a lot of consumables replaced over the years, recent new front grooved discs and pads all round (Not the cheap stuff)
The bodywork is fantastic as the pictures attest to, obviously not concurs but for 15 year old the car looks good.
The wheels have undergone a £270 refurb with the smoked grey setting the car off to a “T” (Wheels free from damage)
The interior is also very good with only slight drivers bolster wear.
All electrics work as they should including the hood with the exception of the electric aerial, the CD radio still works fine without it.
The service book has been lost over the years but there is an A4 folder with various receipts for services and work done by previous owners over the years.
Car currently Sorn'd and up for sale as I now require a 4 seater convertible. The car has recently passed its MOT with no advisories for the 2nd year running and has covered close on 3000 miles since its last MOT with no issues whatsoever.
This car drives effortlessly and is a pleasure to drive and own, The new owner will not be disappointed
