This 450 SEL 6. 9 is part of Peter Lennox private collection of classic Mercedes-Benz vehicles. This was a very original 6. 9 and some restoration has been carried out to bring it up to "as new" condition that will rival any in the world.

I own a well-known independent Mercedes-Benz service, sales & spare parts business in the northern suburbs of Melbourne for more than 32 years called Peter Lennox Automotive P/ L.
I have owned this Mercedes-Benz 450SEL for more than 10 years and was previously serviced my myself & then traded in by the original owners (who brought this vehicle from new) the Grollo family. One of the few families that could afford to buy this vehicle from new in 1979. (All documented)
This was a very original vehicle when I purchased it. The plan was to give it a tidy up and to be on show in my car sales showroom. However, this turned into a full restoration, including an over $20, 000 repaint, all new interior trim sourced from Germany plus a full mechanical refurbishment using all new old stock (Mercedes-Benz parts) where required.
Finally, months of reassembly was carried out in my Mercedes-Benz workshop including the correct 6. 9 tyre valves, which were purchased at $40 each. One of the photos below has a spare.
The full service history has been printed out and is contained in the two genuine service booklets, along with all of the original booklets. Please refer the photos below.
Finally the car has appeared twice in Unique Cars. Once as part of the 10 best vehicles ever made article and later in its own article about the vehicle itself .
