This Traction Avant from 1951 has an interesting history.
The car is in 1951 bought new by a Chief Inspector of the SNCF, the French railways. He was living in the South of France, Cóte dAzur, near Marseille.
It concerns an 11B with chassisnumber 205, 412 and dates from 1951.
The French inspector drove it from Ceyreste, a small town near Marseille, to Station Marseille Saint-Charles, where he parked the Traction under the station. At his countryhouse in Ceyreste the Traction has been parked for 61 years!, till 2012, in the garage. In 2008 the car there made his last trip there in France. In 2012, after the sale of the French family home, the Traction is put on transport by a grandson to Belgium. In Belgium the car stood for 6 years in a underground garage.
This Traction Avant is never been sold and 67 years, a family heirloom. The inspector has, at the time, a number of modifications to be carried out to the Traction. So it was better suited for the warm Southern French climate, increasing the comfort during the holidays.

The Traction is purchased including the original registration certificate from 1951, the Certificat d'immatriculation issued in 1951 and the original badge.
The Traction is never restored. The car is complete and the body is in a particularly good, rust free State. The bottom is exceptional!! rustfree, original no welding.
The engine is running good again, soft and smoothly
Wwork to be carried out consist work on the wiring/ connecting the dashboard.
We have already started with the revision of the brakes (new brakehoses, master and brake cilinders overhauled)
