1965 Triumph TR4 Project
Restoration project, Black plate California Car, LHD, 72900 Miles
Just arrived from California, this very solid & original example is now offered for straight forward restoration. A running & driving example which would not need much work to put on the road as is, or would make a great candidate for full restoration. Last on the road in California in 1991 the car has been in California its whole life & was dry stored for the past 27 years. This is a very solid TR4, with only one very small area of rust on the drivers side floor which could be repaired easily. Other than this the car is rust free with a completely straight chassis and original panels. The car has been painted in the past & there are small dents and scratched in the bodywork. The hood frame is intact & hood included. The boot & engine bay are both clean & showing no corrosion other that some light surface rust. The engine starts & runs well, with good oil pressure & we have driven the car around our yard with no problems. The clutch and gearbox seem fine but the brakes will require a full overhaul. All in all a very honest find & perfect TR4 to restore to its former glory.
