This 1982 Land Rover Series 3 SWB County Estate which has covered approx 87, 000 miles. The bodywork is rock solid and tidy with some tarnish on the bonnet and a few marks here and there which you would expect considering its almost 4 decades old.
The interior is again very clean and tidy and appears to be weather proof which is a bonus with these old Land Rovers. On start up the power unit bursts into life and idles very nicely. Mechanically it does seem to be healthy and my only real observation on driving is that there is play in the steering, again a common thing with these vehicles. The gearbox, brakes and transmission all behave as you would expect and overall it drives well.
As we approach the middle of winter and if the weather forecasts are to be believed, this Land Rover is a must for somebody wanting a classic which will make mince meat of any pending snow fall, whilst serving them well if living in a rural area.
