TVR Griffith 400 1965 FIA race car – one of app. 40 GB cars made .
This Griffith was build professionally by former TVR gurus DG Sports cars, converted from a road car, to a race car and won the European Championship for GT cars in 2002 with Karl Roslund behind the wheel, and Chris Schirle as the engineer
After this achievement the Griff was sold to Denmark where it has been standing on display in Sommers Automobile Museum since.
This Griffs history is known from day one.
After 15 years of stand still, it was bought in 2017 by a TVR enthusiast that since then has made the Griff comply with the latest demands from FIA and it got a FIA HTP in 2018 - valid until 2028.
Correct Ford 289 all steel engine on first overbore of an original C5AE engine block. Engine boasting four Weber 48 IDA on a Cobra intake manifold which is optimal and correct for a Griffith engine. Only two hours since complete rebuild by LP Racing in Sweden.
Borg Warner T10 gearbox and E-type differential
Griff comes with a lot of spare parts, two differentials (long and short track), Nigel Reuben parts for converting into Redex Trophy wider version, 13 rims etc.
On the button and ready for racing in 2019. This Griffith 400 is eligible for Masters Gentlemen Drivers, Guards Trophy, Classic K etc. Offering access to some of Europe's fastest and most exclusive historic race events this is a rare opportunity also considering that only approximately 300 genuine Griffiths were made.
