1992 LAND ROVER RANGE ROVER 200 TDI
Just arrived in stock with us is this amazing fully restored left hand drive Range Rover 200 TDI. Finished in stunning roman bronze metallic with a contrasting tan leather interior trim. 174000 recorded miles complete with a very thorough history folder containing lots of previous service/ repair invoices, previous mot’s and documentation relating to its re importation into the UK in 2003 after its then ex pat English owner decided to bring it back with him to the south coast upon his return home.
The last owner has spent the last 3 years fully restoring the car to the amazing example that you see before you today. Initially the works were carried out by a Land Rover specialist but the workmanship was not up to his standard so he then stripped the car to a bare shell and had a specialist body centre carry out the necessary repairs and repaint the full bare shell as well as covering all the floors in tinted raptor to ensure a better than factory quality finish whilst still maintaining a good level of protection to all the floors.
All the suspension and braking systems have been replaced including new fuel and brake lines, discs, pads and callipers all round.
The front and rear axles have been fully refurbished and re powder coated at the seat time. All the swivel joints and body mounts were changed whilst the chassis was off as well as all new poly bushes .
Engine and gearbox have also both been fully overhauled and the car drives fantastically. It has also had a recent clutch.
The external lights, bumpers and grilles have all been changed to give a factory fresh look as well as the wheels refurbished with new good year tyres all round.
The interior is in absolutely wonderful condition but had the usual Land Rover issue of a sagging headliner, this has been replaced by a local coach trimmer and again is a wonderful job.
We are anticipating a very high level of demand for this car as it is priced extremely sensibly in the current climate. It would be impossible to even restore a car to this level given a £25k budget - trust me we know as we are in the middle of doing one ourselves!!
