Our 1973 VW Holdsworth Camper in amber and pastel white is for sale. We have owned this van for the past 15 years and have carried out a full restoration over that period. The van comes with a new 1600cc engine (not reconditioned) with around 20k miles since it was fitted.
We use the van for our family summer holidays in Europe every year but our children are growing fast and the reality is that we have outgrown our van, hence the reason for sale. I have the VW letter of authenticity / birth certificate.
The van was featured in and on the cover of Camper and Commercial in 2015 and has been kept in a garage since. It's a genuine UK RHD bus with heaps of history and an original interior. I'll be as honest as possible with the below...
Exterior / Chassis
Painted / restored around 5 years back, showing some signs of age but still looks smart
Chassis is solid enough, get a little welding every couple of years but is stored indoors and regularly wax-oiled.
Still has original floor throughout (including the cab)
Brakes refurbished all round
Has Servoi brakes with discs on the front
Full length roof rack using Japanese Oroko designed / built by myself and my dad
Rear Fiamma bike rack (2 bikes)
New seals all round when painted
GT white wall tyres with plenty of tread
Stainless hub caps (the mega expensive ones!) so they never pit or rot
Lowered slightly (1 spline back / adjusters on beam / KYB gas shocks on front)
Cab doors have been repaired a couple of times, they are usable but a little tatty round the bottom.

Stainless exhaust pipe (just the pipe!)

Raleigh Motovilla drive away awning in orange / brown (very cool), reasonable condition.
A load of spares which i've built up over the years and a haynes manual
Camping Gaz bottle and a spare to get refilled
A whole load of history.
A copy of the C&C magazine in which it was featured.
