This is a 1968 V8 250 automatic in excellent condition having had a complete back to shell restoration some years ago (photo file of the work will come with the car).
Works carried out between 2012 and 2014 consisted of, stripping all brakes, fitting new seals, calipers, new pads, plus a number of copper brake pipes replaced. Waxoly applied to underside and wings, carbs refurbished, jacking rubbers replaced, new covers fitted to all 4 steering ball joints. Plus many other small jobs completed and new parts fitted.
More recent works include a complete engine out/ rebuild which included new radiator with Kenlow fan. Bills for £7, 647. 55 in the file.
In May 2017 the car was sent to Daimler/ Edward Turner engine specialist for a complete tune up which included changing the ignition system to a Lumintion unit plus all ancillary parts. At the same time a full stainless exhaust system was supplied and fitted. Bills for £2, 019. 19 are on file for this work.
As you can see from the the pictures the car looks and shows well. Comes with the addition of the original tool kit plus several handbooks and a full workshop manual. Plus there is a fitted waterproof cover which I think I used just twice.
The downside i. e. work needing to be done. The automatic gearbox gasket weeps oil and needs replacing. Back in September 2014 the power steering pump was changed with one supplied by David Manners, however this replacement still weeps a little.
The car is being sold due to health issues and the fact we have had to move into sheltered accommodation with no garage meaning the car is now consigned to a lock up. I love the car but not being able to get into it or drive it any more means it has to have a new owner.
