Vehicle History:
Mercedes-Benz introduced in March 1963 at the Geneva Motor Show a new type of Mercedes SL. He should at the same time replace the types 190 SL and 300 SL. Because of its additionally available, inwardly arched hardtops, he was nicknamed Pagoda. The W 113 marks the transition from the rounded shapes of its predecessor to a more functional style. The aim of the design development was to differentiate clearly from its predecessor and to strive for a "masculine" appearance. Smooth surfaces, a lot of usable space and the absence of decorative elements characterize the "Pagoden-SL". The main market was the USA. Here again, a large part of the vehicles went to California.
This pagoda was also delivered to the USA. It was imported to Germany long ago. The beautiful color combination medium blue with light ivory colored pagoda roof and blue interior is extremely attractive. The engine is running very well. This is the opportunity to purchase a very original vehicle that will start your summer immediately.
