For sale is my manual W108 280S (1968) ‘Silver Arrow’ from Modena. It doesn’t only have the Italian ‘Revisione’ but also German Volabnahme (Tüv/ HU) as well as recognition as a Historic Vehicle. All documents are present that are needed for registration.
I bought the car from a dealer south of Naples last year and drove it back to Berlin without it missing a beat. It has 11, 055 km on the clock, which according to its condition probably means that it is has run a total of 111, 055 km.
The car has only had two owners from new. The first, had the car for only one year from March 1968 till March 1969 when he sold it to the second owner, who owned it until June 2018, when I bought it.
The car drives well and the gearbox selects the gears smoothly. During my ownership, it has benefited from a revised automatic steering gear as well as a revised brake servo unit. Furthermore, it has new steering arms, silencers and the rear brakes were revised. It has had a complete service and 4 new tires with a mere 2300 km on them. It has also benefited from new ignition components and spark plug wires.
Cosmetically the car presents itself very well. According to the previous owner it was repainted in the 80s to a very high standard and it still looks great. The car is rust free and as far as I can tell, it has not been welded.
The interior is original and the seats are free of rips and tears. The grey on grey colour scheme looks great and I have not seen another like it.
