1973 Mustang Sportsroof/ Fastback, Extensively restored in Canada completed in 2016 and imported to the uk just a year later.
many many new panels fitted during a full body restoration and painted in its original colour of Medium Bright Yellow and fitted with Mach 1 style stripes and Naca style hood. Extremely straight bodywork with fantastic panel fit throughout, excellent attention to detail throughout. A common issue on these is the eurathane front bumper but this one is in absolutely fantastic condition and looks fabulous next to the brand new blacked out grille.
Pillar-less window conversion using coupe parts has been carried out which adds a different look to the profile of the car.
Interior is mostly new (headliner, seats, carpets, door panels, dash top, etc) with some additional gauges and the original tachometer converted to run on the MSD ignition.
Suspension and steering fully rebuilt and powder coated and painted wherever possible with upgraded roll bar etc. Original 9” rear end with 3. 25 LSD fitted. New springs and shocks all round, power disc brakes up front, new power steering pump, rebuilt box.
1 year old 8x15 American Racing VN501 magnum 500 lookalike alloy wheels with 235/ 255 BFG tyres, much nicer than chrome steel in my opinion and retains the period look.
351 Cleveland motor fitted with 4v heads, comp cam, edelbrock intake, 1906 edelbrock AVS 2 carb, edelbrock filter, MSD ignition, MSD Distributor, MSD coil etc. Hooker headers leading to a full custom built stainless twin pipe exhaust system with high quality Badlandz electric cutouts operated via dash mounted switch, a cammed Cleveland is hard to beat idling on open headers.
Rebuilt C6 transmission.
