Absolutely awesome gt40 replica made by kva, the first gt40 replica to be offered on the scene.
fully road registered and correctly log booked as kva, registered in 1988, and been used on road many times, various old mot's support this.
this is a replica of a mk3 road going gt40 hence the long tail, very rare to get a gt40 offered at this price. we all know they normally retail for 60k plus. only 1 previous owner builder, in superb condition few age related marks always kept dry and garaged with cotton cover over it.
brief spec is space frame chassis, fiberglass body, nicely detailed as moulds taken from original, correct looking interior, it has always been red and is on its first paint still. front sub frame is granada mk2, as are brakes, bushes etc front, rear are large beetle drums, custom half shafts, mated to audi trans axle, which is 4 speed. coil over suspension all round, engine was rebuilt but not used on road, rover 3. 5 with high lift cam, ported heads balanced, 4 rebuilt and set up weber downdraft carbs, kxn filters, correct up swept exhausts, davies craig high flow electric water pump with settings to run when engine off and thermostatically controlled for flow so no thermostat in engine required. wheels are 5 lug revolution, believe they are 9" rear 7"front, excellent tyres. heater fitted.
i have done a modicome of re commissioning after a period in slumber, but just needs a few jobs finishing off a week of fettling and you will be down the road. i have completely re done the cooling system with custom header tank, silicon hoses and alloy pipes, along with the davies craig electric water pump, this just needs wiring up, needs accelerator cable and better connection to carb linkage, clutch slave cylinder needs new seals as was leaking, and a few other minor jobs, had engine running and it sounded unbelievable, it will fly!
brakes have been gone through with all new rears and skimmed drums, new bushes in front, again brakes gone through. re built starter motor. fuel drained ready for fresh, new rubber fuel hoses fitted, fresh engine oil, and filter, sump removed cleaned.
only offer'd for sale as a car i once owned is up for grabs so garage space and money would be of great use.
