This is a unique Trafalgar Blue Morris Minor Traveller with a tan leather interior - the most desirable colour combination that is both classy and beautiful.
The car was completely rebuilt by Charles Ware of Bristol in 2014 at a cost of £34, 000. The specification is extensive and includes a reconditioned unleaded 1300cc engine fitted with a stage II cylinder head and alloy rocker cover. It has servo assisted front disc brakes, upgraded suspension with telescopic shock absorbers and anti-roll bar, a hydraulic clutch and electronic ignition. Large bore exhaust sounds just like a 1960s Mark I Cooper S. A Revotec cooling system was installed along with halogen headlamps and heated front and rear screens.
The gearbox was changed to a 5 speed Ford Sierra box which provides less engine stress at higher speeds and the car has larger wider van wheels to enhance the ride. The full leather tan interior was completely renewed to include series III heated front seats with headrests and front and rear inertia seat belts. New treated timber was fitted during the rebuild.
The list of improvements is extensive, too many to list here.
This is a beautiful car and a joy to drive. It has the looks of an old car but the performance of a modern car.
I may consider taking a part exchange on a Morris Minor saloon.
