We are delighted to present for sale this smart Series 3, in popular Light Pastel Green.
Externally, there are lots of nice features such as the defender-style door mirrors for additional visibility, rear lifting handles, towball and electrics, front lifting eyes, and a front tow hook to allow additional manoeuvrability. The vehicle sits on a matching set of 750 tyres, giving a nice stance - these have a good profile for both off and on road use. Overall, this gives the vehicle a very 'stock' look - with no nasty additions, and the paintwork is of a spray finish rather than brushed, which is nice to see.
The standard feel extends to the interior, with three front standard seats, and deluxe matting to the footwells. The vehicle benefits from front and rear door cards, which make for a more premium feel and give additional sound-deadening to the cabin. In the rear, there are a pair of windows to allow additional light into the cabin, with the spare housed on the rear of the bulkhead. If required, a pair of bench seats could be fitted for £295, allowing seating for seven including the driver in a station wagon configuration.
Out on the road, this old girl provides a pleasing period driving experience, aided by the slightly larger rubber to give more relaxed cruising at a slightly higher speed. The petrol engine is quiet, and starts with the first turn of the key with the choke. It stops just as it should.
