The type LG 6 was developped by Lagonda chief-developper Walter Owen Bentley. His aim was, to deliver better cars, than the big rivaln Rolls Royce, and it showed: the Lagondas out of this era belonged to the cars with the best driving abilities and the highest beauty. Optically nearly identical with the V 12- models, the 6- cylinder LG 6- engine was the more reliable one, with same power output.
Thies LG 6- cabriolet was restored to concours standards after 1995 in the USA. Sold back and importes to europe, the engine, and other aggregates were overwhauled by the belgian Lagonda- specialist LMB.
Since the rebuilt the car was driven about 15. 000 kms, is reliable and sporty to drive.
The pre- owners in England and USA are known via Lagonda Club.
Sources report, that only 30 units of the LG 6 Cabriolet were deliverd, this car as one of two in 1938.
