Here we have an original1966 ford Mustang 289 manual four-speed in Raven black with black interior. This Mustang was built in the biggest Ford Plant of that time at Dearborn Michigan. Once finished it was sent locally to Detroit where it was sold on the 11/ 01/ 1966. We know that the Mustang did live in Denver Colorado in the ’90s before coming across to the U. K. in 2008.
The car has had a recent body restoration over here and the paintwork is in top condition throughout and structurally underneath it is very sound having had been restored. There is also a history file with the car which shows a complete engine rebuild with a new fast road cam fitted and larger pistons etc. Aluminium radiator with cooling fans, an Edelbrock performance manifold with an Edelbrock carburettor has also been installed.
The wheels, there are two options, the original set of Magnums chrome finish or a set of original Carol Shelby magnesium wheels. It will be the new custodian’s choice to which they prefer. The interior is in great shape with no rips or tears, the car has an original Rally Pack instrumentation, race seat belts and new headliner. This car is for the purist who wants an original colour car in possibly the best colour Raven Black Metallic and enjoys the feel of a powerful upgraded engine sat in an iconic stunning 60’s Mustang.
