We are delighted to present for sale this very rare and quite charming long wheel base 2a station wagon. It benefits from a similar but larger cc 2500cc petrol engine, mated to an overdrive, giving superior driving feel.
Externally, as the photos show, this rare vehicle is well presented and looks as it should. There's a matching set of 5 750 tyres, giving good off road ability whilst lengthening gering ratios for the road. Free wheeling hubs are also fitted, along with galvanised bumper, height adjustable towbar with electrics, tropical roof with alpine lights, rear grab handles, and wing mounted period style mirrors. It really is a handsome looking vehicle in our opinion.
The interior has room for the largest of families, or indeed an average sized family plus dogs and bikes - these 109s do give great space for the adventurous family on holiday trips etc. There are 3 deluxe seats up front with a second row of techno style seats behind, followed by rear benches too. The headliner is in good condition and the interior light still works as it should. There are the usual air vents in the roof as seen on these vehicles. Deluxe matting is fitted throughout too, along with some door cards for that smarter look and feel. There are even diagonal belts in the rear for car seats and kids to safely travel! It's all quite tidy and smart, and very difficult to find nowadays.
The driving experience does not disappoint - this vehicle has been mechanically well looked after and maintained, and the engine sounds just lovely. It's nice to drive too, and with the overdrive and slightly higher power from the slightly larger engine it sounds and goes in a manner you may not expect.... it's got feeling of being well sorted. Tick over is a very quiet affair indeed. The underside of the vehicle also impresses, with a chassis in original and perfect condition - quite amazing. And with just 5 keepers too, it's a rare find indeed.
