I have 2 campers and 1 of them needs to go as I haven't got enough space to keep both, so I have decided this one is the one to go.
VW t2 camper 1976 p reg tax exempt and mot exempt, it was imported from Texas in 1995 and was only on the uk roads until 2001 and then has been sat in a garage for the last 18 years.
It has a westfalia pop top with original bed boards and matress that goes in pop top, this will need a new canvas as previous owner removed old one. The previous owner has had the underside media blasted and new sections welded in where needed, I have put a couple of coats of rustoleum on the underside, the front beam is rock solid, cab doors are in excellent condition, there will be some bits missing main bit being an engine but there is a gearbox and I have replaced the gear rod bushes, other parts included are most of the glass, driveshafts, there's a couple of servo units, a spare steering box, just put in a new main wiring loom, fuel tanks in there, also dash is in good condition. There is also a large tub of bits and pieces that will go with the van.
The van does need a little welding, areas I've seen are a couple of small patches on cab floor, small patch on rear wheel tub, rear window lower sections need a bit of repair and a little around rear hatch. Anyone who is interested can give me a ring and I can walk round the van and answer any questions. This is a great solid van for restoration needing very little welding compared to a uk van.
