Vehicle History:
Already at the IAA in 1973, the new XJ coupe was announced as the safest model of the Series II, but only in 1975 it could go into series production. The frameless side windows of this car, between which the B-pillars were completely eliminated for the sake of optics, to free from annoying wind noise, proved to be a very difficult technical challenge. The production of the coupe was set in November 1977 - probably an attempt to boost the initially weak demand for the first introduced in 1975 sports coupe XJ-S.
This sports coupe was ordered by the German contractor and racing driver Hans Blatzheim in 1978. On August 14, 1985, he died in a serious accident in his Porsche 917/ 10 during test drives on the Nürburgring Grand Prix circuit. Since December 11, 1987, therefore, the Jaguar was rescheduled to his wife Ellen. These are the only entries in the letter. The beautiful cat is running wonderfully. The original license plates are still in the trunk.
