1973 Austin Mini – Tax Exempt. built to Race spec (But never been on a track)
The car has been fully rebuilt from a new bare shell. originally blue with a 998cc engine. Now it has a 1275 engine bored out to a 1330 cc with single SU carb conversion and is virtually a brand new car. It has been stripped completely for weight saving and has a full 6 point roll cage with rear X. Fire extinguisher and removable door bars. two racing bucket seats which have the three point harnesses. It has had twin tanks installed. Full fibre glass Dash board with racing toggle switches which have all the necessary components to breeze through the MOT (electric fan. headlights. side lights. windscreen wipers. windscreen washers and engine coil cut off switch which is for added security). The car is sat on pro tech racing coil overs on the front and Brand new GAZ coil overs on the rear. 7 x 10 force racing 3 piece wheels with YOKO tyres. Carbon fibre wheel arches and wing mirrors. fibre glass removable bonnet and mk1 grill which looks really smart with the clear side repeaters and iridium head lights. All the running parts are brand new along with everything else. All seals and rubbers replaced and windows professionally dipped. The car has been painted in Alpine white with a gloss black roof. The brakes have been converted to Mini sport 4 pot 7. 9'' callipers with Vented and grooved discs with braded hoses. Rear brakes are mini fin drums with new shoes. springs and wheel cylinders. Had new hand brake cable and quadrin with new stainless steel quick release handle. New single pot master cylinder and clutch cylinder. new brake bias with pipes and fittings with braded hoses on rear also. Custom alloy door cards and alloy handles. Car is as clean underneath as she is on top. Engine – 1275 bored to a 1330 with new pistons. reground crank. new bearings. kent fast-road cam with new bearings. had some work to the head. fully rebuilt by green and whites. LCB manifold heat wrapped. polished inlet manifold and polished 1''3/ 4 Carb. K&N filter. new engine steady and mounts. silicone hoses and full Fletcher straight through exhaust system. New distributor. new electric points. new leads plugs and cap coil. braded oil pipe. alloy rocker cover and T bars. stainless radiator bracket. two fan yellow blade. New filter King fuel pressure regulator with pressure guage. Engine and brackets sprayed black. Brand new Fletcher 2 core radiator.
This car has had a lot of time and money spent on it which you can tell as soon as you drive it, it gets a lot of attention and is a really fun car to drive.
