The Car
The W126 series Mercedes Benz was built for the discerning wealthy German traveller to quickly navigate the derestricted autobahn network at high speed whilst offering exceptional comfort and style. Its 300-horsepower V8 enabled a true 155 mph top speed, while acceleration from zero to sixty took no more than 7 seconds. It was probably the most comfortable way to travel across country. Even at 140 mph, you can talk in normal voice or listen to music without disturbing by wind or road noise. The high-speed refinement and stability were hardly matched by other cars at the time, let alone one that offering space for four big guys.
We're delighted to offer this 560SEC on consignment. The car was manufactured in September 1986 in Germany and then first registered in February 1987 in Japan. This low mileage example later went on to be exported to Auckland New Zealand in 2007 to its second owner who kept the car dry stored. The vehicle was then more recently exported by the current owner to the United Kingdom in early 2019.
The car is very dry having been dry stored with it’s two most recent owners and still drives beautifully. It is rare to find an example like this with such low mileage, having covered a mere 12, 241 miles since August 2006. New Zealand vehicle history report showing change of ownership, and annual ‘Warrant of Fitness’ (WOF) Inspections that detail mileage at 6-month intervals between 2007 and 2018.
