Here is one of the Original 500 yamaha YZF 750 SP's with the frame number starting 4JD in the Pinky colours and first registered in 1994.
it was previously registered in the UK on a M plate and was Exported to ireland in 2006 where unfortunately it has suffered and has been left standing outside for a number of years and has deteriorated to the state that it now ls in.
I planned to Restore this back to its former glory and planned to purchase a complete 1993 yzf 750 as a donor bike to get all the necessary parts to bring this bike to first day but i have been messed around with two bikes so far and now i am considering letting this go to someone that will take this on as a project unless i can get my hands on a donor bike i need and then at this point i would remove this from the market.
The previous owner had got this running but the float bowls were leaking fuel and i have got a new set of float bowl rubbers to go with the bike.
it has the flat side carbs and still retains the 4JD engine so will make a great road bike project for someone or as a last resort a track or race bike but i would hope that it would go to someone that will restore it as a road bike as how many of the 500 are now actually left.
i have an original standard exhaust can but the down pipes have been changed to a race system but i may be able to exchange these for the standard down pipes.
The front calipers were removed so the bike could be pushed but were no good so i do not have them.
