Descrizione
I have owned this 4-door Morris Minor saloon for the last seven years. This Moggy benefits from a 1796cc Ford Zetec engine, 5-speed gearbox and brake disc conversion to tackle modern road traffic. It was formely registered as ELO563C.
This Minor was substantially restored in 2006 with considerable bodywork repairs including new chassis legs, floors, boot-well, inner sills and inner wings. The conversion to Ford Zetec power was undertaken in 2010 and come with around 115 bhp. The engine and 5-speed gearbox came from a donor Mondeo whilst suspension and braking systems were modified and up-rated to handle the performance. Later rally seats (with seat belts) were fitted to complete the cabin with home-made lower console incorporating new dials, toggle switches and a Digi-dash. In May 2013, a complete repaint has been undertaken in the original Dove Grey.
Other major upgrades include :
. In novembre 2013 : new trims, new wheels (with Minilite style) and new tires (Yokohama Blue Earth)
. In 2015 : new 1998 Zetec RKF engine (it is able to run on normal unleaded petrol)
. In 2017 : new alternator
. In 2020 : new battery + windscreen wiper arms & blades
There is still scope for further cosmetic detailing but essentially the car is ready to be enjoyed.
The Minor comes with sundry bills going back to 2006 and a string of MOT Certificates. Car is located in Lille, France (one hour from Calais).
