Beschreibung
This is a stunning original March 1970 example of this rare 2400 model. The wonderful engine in these 2400 models was upgraded from the 2000 model’s engine producing much more torque.
Unlike the earlier 2000 Dino model, the 2400 were manufactured in house by Ferrari themselves and mated to a robust five speed Dogleg gearbox.
It was also upgraded to a sophisticated rear suspension from the bigger 130 model but was much faster in all respects.
The bodies still came from Fiat but assembly of this model took place completely in the Maranello factory.
I bought the car in Italy near Modena where it had been standing for some 17 years. We bought it back to the UK on a trailer and spent a great deal of money, patience and time bringing it back to life.
It is still wearing its unbelievably original Rosso Red paintwork, with its original nearly unmarked cloth interior.
All the hoses have been renewed as well as all filters.
The carburettors were also refurbished when the engine was slowly and carefully bought back to life.
During the refurbishment, the shock absorbers, discs, callipers and brake pipes have all been renewed.
The electrics have also been overhauled and a new alternator and battery fitted.
This makes the car great to drive quickly so that it handles modern traffic with ease and is happy cruising at full motorway speeds.
It is UK registered on a Historic VED exempt, with an age related registration number.
The mileage of 50, 000 (80, 000 Kilometres) is believed to be genuine.
Currently in Maidenhead, I am selling it at a big discount because we are moving house
