For sale is our much loved 1956 split screen van.
i will do my best to list everything but as this has had so much done to it i will probably miss bits.
Engine
1500 block(larger bearings) with 1641 pistons and unleaded heads running high ratio rockers with twin webber carbs and electronic ignition, alternator conversion, engine was built for reliability not speed, custom stainless steel exhaust, deep sump, pulls very well.
Gearbox

Rear axel
Irs conversion, adjustable spring plates with early bay window wide 5 rear brakes, spax adjustable shocks
Front axel
Creative engineering narrowed adjustable beam, dropped spindles, csp drilled disk conversion, spax adjustable shocks, finished of with a creative engineering steering rack conversion.
Body work
Fully restored in 2007, full strip back to metal, all rust removed and replaced with new panels where required. Van has been used regularly but always garaged. Some signs of wear now as you would expect for a 12 year old pain job.
Interior
Fully restored in 2007, all seats and interior panels front and rear are in nappa leather with an alcantara strip that flows through the van, the curtains for the van are made from italian silk to match the color of the van, front cab has a custom steering wheel, color coded dash, additional gauges, oil pressure, rev counter and voltage meter, built in dvd player with built in reversing camera. Original floor mat.
rear of the van has lots of storage cupboards all built from quality marine ply, drop down tv/ dvd player, dvd player in the front also plays through the tv in the rear. Built in eberspacher diesel night heater too keep you warm in the winter and a gas cooker for a nice cup of tea.
Stereo system
Pioneer dvd head unit, 5" focal front speakers, pioneer 8" rear speakers with a 10" small enclosure sub, 2 x kenwood amps and a power cap. All installed to a very high quality.
Windows
All windows are from creative engineering and have a bronze tint, safari's front and rear, side pop outs.
Wheels
15" chrome radars with great tyre's.
underside has been painted with black hammerite from the time it was imported back in 2002. van was originally imported from Rubidoux California
beautiful example of an early split screen van that has some custom parts added for reliability.
i have tried to be as descriptive as possible. There are a few marks on the van as it is used,
as with most old vehicles i have loads of paperwork and photo's of restoration and history of the van. Please feel free to ask any questions.
Mileage is not 265k as per advert but I can't change it.
