Vehicle History:
Donald Healey Motor completed its first car in 1945, which went in full-time production the following year. For the Clubman Racer, there was the dual-purpose Silverstone, a model that is both on the road and on the track at home. Since 1956, this Silverstone has a Jaguar engine. In its current specification, the 3. 8-liter engine produces about 275 hp, which are transmitted via a five-speed gearbox on a limited slip differential with racing half-waves. In February 1997, Mike Hawley bought the car (from Jeremy Wade) and started a program of continuous and sympathetic restoration. The accompanying documentation is very extensive.
