An everyday Capri back in its day, this Venetian Red 1. 6 GL with its two owners from new, is a very rare car indeed. Unlike the more expensive 2. 8 or S model of its time, these more ordinary Capris were generally not preserved over the years. This example is the exception.
It presents as a remarkable, original car with an immaculate interior, bodywork and paintwork that we have been unable to fault. It would be hard to find another like this on the market and a credit to it’s two previous owners.
The second owner covered less than 2000 miles in 7 years and wanted someone else to enjoy the car, which is in a condition that is ready to be driven and enjoyed. Supporting this two-owner car’s incredibly low mileage are invoices, books, MoT certificates dating back to 1987 and the original spare keys.
