MG has built some gorgeous cars since it started in business in 1924. Arguably the best looking car of them all was the MGA, which ushered in a new era for the Abingdon based car company when it replaced the ancient T-Series in 1955. Sleek and beautiful, the MGA isn't the fastest sportscar around but it is superb to drive thanks to it's agility, lively performance, sweet gearchange and light steering.
The splendid example we offer here was restored in the late 90s and has covered something like 12, 000 miles since. Further to the restoration the 1588cc engine was rebuilt in 2010 at a cost of £3000.
The car has a fascinating history file that comes in 2 box files. The car has a traceable history back to the date it was first registered on the 21st of April 1960. The history file includes its original buff log book, a Heritage certificate, drivers handbook, workshop manual, a continuous log of expenditure going back some 20 years and the thickest pile of invoices we have ever seen.
This is a car with an amazing history and provenance.
