'Roary' is a very special bus - he’s been with us now for nearly 5 years and has been the perfect companion with all our family camping trips. He’s been the length and breadth of the UK to attend VW shows whilst providing ample and comfortable accommodation for our whole family.
Crucially he’s fitted with a normally aspirated Subaru engine plus has the benefit of an upgraded gearbox with taller 3rd and 4th gears. As a result, he’ll keep up with modern traffic and climb hills without a problem. His stainless-steel exhaust provides the soundtrack (which is how he gets his name) and he’s super reliable plus is user friendly enough to be used as a daily driver.
It sleeps 4 people (2 adults and 2 kids) when utilising the extendable pop top. It has a two-hob gas burner and grill, on board water tank with working tap and sink, plus a fully functioning 3-way fridge so no matter if you’re off grid or on a campsite with mains 240v hook up available, you’ll always have cold beer!
