1956 Land Rover Series 1 86" 2. 0 petrol. Soft top:
Owned by a Land Rover enthusiast for over 10 years. During this time we have carried out extensive maintenance and restoration along side its annual servicing and MOT's. As you can see it is in lovely condition and has been used regularly through out the summers, while generally wrapped up over the winter. We have just fitted a new set of authentic period Exmoor trim front seats which finish of its interior lovely. Some years ago an internal hoop was fitted to mount seat belt anchrages onto and a pair of head rests for the 2 front outer seats. This was fabricated by a company well known amongst vintage and classic racing and has been properly chassis mounted for strength and safety whist not damaging or cutting any bodywork. This has been wrapped in canvas for a period look and feel. Several years ago the gearbox was fully reconditioned, which gives a nice clean gearchange and coupled with its fairy overdrive makes for sensible driving if you are venturing beyond your local pub for a summers evening sundowner.
Over the years the current owner has spared little in keeping this fine example of a Series 1 up-together and and useable whilst maintaing a high standard of finish. This car will cost you less than it would to buy and restore another to this standard. Definately a good investment into this now sought after, classic marque.
