This is a re advertisement for this little mini. I have started the project of going through it and bringing her back to road worthiness but i just havnt got the time with other projects on the go as well as trying to push forward with work. I made a start on the brakes to get the car all freed up and have all of the new wheel cylinders, brake shoes and hoses. car starts and runs on the button and drives. After poking around the rust i have attacked the front passenger floor pan and sill, these are the two major panels i can find need sorting aswell as the rear valance.

1960 Morris Mini-Minor, this car was owned by the same person for the first 55years of its life.
The Mini was originally launched to the public in August 1959 and this car was built in February 1960, within 6 months of the mini's launch!
The car was originally cherry red with its 850 A series, later in life its had an 1100 A series fitted to enable it to keep up with more modern traffic. the car had been re sprayed in Tarten red with a black roof to look like a Cooper S. It still has the original matching numbers 850 engine and gearbox with magic wand gear lever, this will be supplied with the car if you wish to put it back to original, it still retains the original interior (no rips or skaggs) aswell as original registration number, it is also has the original drum brakes and positive earth electrics. My plan was to build a fast road period correct mini racer using the 850 however im afraid work must come first and i just do not have the time for this project.
As seen in the photos it has rust in the areas where these cars usually go but it is not excessive and if restoring you could retain an awful lot of the original car but if youre just looking for your way into a mk1 mini to have as a usable classic, this car is not far away from being road worthy.
I have had the carb rebuilt, distributor rebuilt, fuel lines re-new'd, new fuel tank fitted, new battery fitted. she fires up on the floor start button, runs nicely and drives good.
Runs great, circulates water well, gets upto temperature with its gold seal 1100cc engine and holds temperature beautifully around 70 degrees.
