Engine number 74042, bore and strike given as 79x100, cubic capacity 490, frame number F102991, has not been run for some years but compression is good and recommissioning should be straight-forward.
The first overhead camshaft Norton, the CSI, was designed by Walter Moore and was very successfully used in the 1927 TT. They were developed by Arthur Carroll for use as road machines and named The International, and were successful for over 30 years.
