Description
This is an excellent and beautiful flame red 1971 Mach 1
In the VIN number = "05/ 63r " fastback body Mustang loaded with its forensically rebuilt and powerful V8 351ci (5. 8ltr) Cleveland Engine.
This car was restored nine years ago hence rot free... this included rebuilding both engine and transmission.
This beautiful Muscle car drives wonderfully, delivering effortless power. ... and the sound is addictive. Has been fully serviced.
The finest Muscle car years were between 1967 to 1973
This Mustang shape, designed by Gale Halderman and his team at Dearborn,
is the last hurrah before 1974 when an oil crisis and changes in standards gutted the Muscle car market.
Take a look at Diamonds are Forever 007 James Bond Movie - that movie had the base model version of this car. In 1971 this was the top of the range in the 351's .
The interior is excellent, knitted vinyl in black with charcoal stripes. The carpets I suspect were replaced with new when the restoration was
done. Headliner is in excellent shape.
Engine as expected, starts first time every time, delivers effortless power, makes no unwanted noises, makes all the wanted noises - especially that big burble. The engine has no smokiness having been rebuilt and its an excellent job. I have some rebuild images. When we conducted the oil change only oil came out - no metal.
The tyres have 1000's of happy miles of grip available and are in great shape.
Painted in the Boss 351 scheme with the Mach 1 decals - paint has a couple of minor chips at the front - some minor blemishes typical of use.
Recent works - full service, new front shocks, replaced demist switch, new water temp sensor, new ignition wires- rotor arm, all fluids, filters and lamps.
PX possible, if interesting or exotic.
