We are delighted to present for sale this Series 3 Land Rover®, finished in Marine Blue and hard top configuration with 7 seats.
Externally, there are lots of desirable period features – the front and rear lamp guards, rear grab handles, vintage numberplates, period correct side and rear steps and bonnet mounted spare to name a few items. The vehicle sits on a set of correct 650 tyres, which give light steering and good acceleration. A towbar and electrics has been fitted to allow towing and the spare is mounted to the rear door. This gives a ‘stock’ look – exactly what we like to see.
The interior is largely standard too – with three front deluxe seats, with door cards and deluxe matting. Some extra soundproofing has been fitted to the bulkhead to reduce noise and give a premium feel. The rear houses a pair of bench seats, with a load mat to the floor. The rear door also has a proper door card too. The added benefit of side windows make this interior feel light and airy when out on the road and with the ability for seven seated including the driver, this is a Land Rover® the whole family can go out in!
Out on the road, this Series 3 gives a pleasing period drive. The 650 tyres give light steering, and the weber carburettor gives better performance when required – it has a lovely, raspy engine note too. The free wheeling hubs aid economy and reduce front axle wearing. The ignition key is hidden from view as an added security measure to deter theft.
