Description
1966 Triumph Tiger90, with Daytona type 500 twin carb engine. A great usable bike and loads of fun. Correctly Registered in 1996 as a Triumph 500 (historic vehicle on the V5 ). It has an age related plate. Bought from Bol D'or Motorcycles in Sussex, who did an HPI check.
Would be a good base for a period cafe racer or just enjoy as it is.
Boyer Branson electronic ignition.
Lovely looking bike in good overall condition with good tyres/ chrome etc. paintwork is smart but has a few marks which I have tried to photograph.
Very reliable and starts well, sounds and goes well with no smoke or oil usage. Pretty oil tight too!
I have good service history for the 2 years I have owned it. Recent work has included a new clutch, rear chain, front brake linings, front fork seals, new rotor. stator and rectifier, I've replaced the pushrod tube seals as they were leaking, along with new head gasket etc, so had a chance to check the bores – all good ( standard size)
There is a slight judder from the front brake , but new linings have yet to bed in.
