Description
1938 Triumph Dolomite Saloon
Chassis number: 20/ 6/ 2014
Registration number: AUT639
A rare survivor being one of around 12 known examples. This car is very very original with just the front seats having had new leather fitted leaving the remainder of the interior completely original right up to the roof mounted hat nets.
The car has been under long term ownership for a decade or so being used regularly on high days & holidays when dry. It starts readily & drives beautifully with ample performance for modern B road & A road motoring.
The car of course sports the striking waterfall style radiator grille making it immediately distinctive, augmented by large head lamps, spot lamps & twin trumpet style horns. Around £10, 000 has been spent on the car in recent years keeping it in tip top mechanical order for which there are an assortment of bills.
The older black paintwork is in good condition & has just the right vintage car fele to it. The interior is of course as it was when new but with lovely patination. An original manual comes with the car & also a spare parts catalogue.
These were a very high quality car when produced & are way ahead of many contemporary salons of other brands. The quality shines though today in the excellent driving experience having both style & a late vintage feel to it. It provides comfortable acommodations for 4 people whilst conducting them down the road in some considerable style.
