Ford Capri 1. 6 laser
It is with a heavy heart that it’s time my Capri goes up for sale. I purchased the Capri in 2019 as it was locked away in a barn from 2007, and I made a promise to the previous owner Charlie who had it from
2003 that I’d get it back on the road.
Body:
New wings
New front valance new rear valance
New arches
New sills
New bumpers
New plates
New headlights and surrounds
Full respray in 2007
Engine and mechanicals:
118k just been fully serviced
New gearbox oil
New diff oil
New diff cover
New water pump
New fuel pump
New fuel tank
Reconditioned fuel sender unit
New timing belt
New radiator
New ht leads, cap and router arm
Converted to electronic ignition
I rebuilt and fitted a 32/ 36 DGAV along with freshly vapour blasted inlet manifold and new gaskets
New battery
New exhaust
New alternator
Suspension and Brakes:
New brakes all round
New upgraded goodridge flexis
New callipers
New disks
New shoes
New cylinders and fitting kit
Nos front shocks and lowering springs
New 2” lowering blocks at rear
New bottom arms
New rear shock absorbers
Interior:
Had full interior out cleaned and shampooed
New mats
Original radio
Wheels and tyres:
New jbw steels
New tyres
Also have 5 original laser wheels that have been freshened up
Bits that need attention:
Rev counter doesn’t work
Rear boot cover has cracked can see in picture
Radio goes on but doesn’t get signal possibly aerial
Drivers seat has slightly torn
Few age related marks here and there
So all in, a really good usable classic that you can just jump in and go anywhere. Since I finished it I’ve done 1500+ miles in it and it has been faultless.
Additionally, I have a 2 litre pinto that could go with the car - a deal could be negotiated if interested.
