2001 Mercedes SLK32 AMG for sale. 92, 000 miles. Good condition. It was nice when I bought it in March 2020 from The Performance Car Company in Havant and it's better now. Recent service at AutoMerc in Newbury. Recent tyres, discs and pads.
I'm the ninth owner and it didn't come with a big history file but the service book is full and I've ordered another to follow on.
Mechanically it has been well looked after. The body is good, there is evidence - but no receipts - to say the car has been in the paint shop to keep the rust at bay and to keep it looking nice.
A few bits of trim could fit better. Inside, the centre console could do with a tidy up. The seat heaters don't work. It does not have a standard radio but instead has an unlikely slide-out screen Pioneer with reversing camera. One of the front indicators has a chip out of it. The under-wing shields at the front have seen better days. The original tyre goo has gone. When I bought the car there was nothing so I carry a can of tyre foam. All the time I've had the car I've been improving it and I will continue to do so until it's sold. For example, when I bought the car there was no wind deflector. Earlier this week I picked up a new one from MB.
All in all, it's sound. I bought an original set of fitted luggage which the purchaser is welcome to have. The seats are in good condition and all the electrics on the seats work, apart from the heaters. It's a good looking car and one of the fastest I've owned. I haven't done any track days with it but I did take it to a Run-What-You-Brung at Santa Pod where it did the quarter mile in 13. 55.
Talk to me about it, come and have a look at it and explain why you think it's worth a bit less than the asking price. You would need to show me insurance cover before driving it.
