Colour beige combined with a two-tone brown/ grey cloth with vinyl interior.
This gorgeous Saab 96 ‘long nose’ is in a very good to excellent restored condition, and the car shows all the original details. A photo report of the restoration and overhaul is present.
The two-stroke Saab models are a delight to drive, and the exhaust note is just fantastic! The Saab 96 shows the wonderful aerodynamic lines Saab is renowned for.
The dashboard is well filled with wonderful gauges and meters, even a Halda Speedpilot is present as is an airplane-type clock. With the Halda Speedpilot, and the additional Hella Spot lamps at the front this Saab 96 presents a sporty look. The car is also fitted with a beautiful Saab steering wheel with a wood rim that reminds of the ‘Monte Carlo’ version of this model. The 3-cylinder two stroke engine runs beautifully, and the 4-speed manual gearbox with column shift operates perfectly.
The electrical system was uprated with an AC dynamo.
