Vehicle history:
In 1966, BMW bought the ailing Dingolfing body shop Glas. A heavy blow for Frua, as the Turin coachman hoped for the continuation of his cooperation with BMW. In keeping with the new situation, Piero Frua secretly developed a new coupé design based on the BMW 3000 V8 and, to BMW's surprise, exhibited it at his stand at the IAA in Frankfurt in 1967. The vehicle is very similar to the Monteverdi Hai, which was also presented in Frankfurt in 1967. Unfortunately, however, the cooperation between the Munich and the Italians ended, and the beautiful coupé remained a unique piece.
