Firstly - don’t buy a Golf GTI mk4; this is the REAL GTI!
This Golf is amazing and is just one owner from new! Originally ordered in early 2000 to Mr A Fugello of London, this is a very rare car on UK roads - they didn’t come out here until mid-2001 on a 51 plate. Mr Fugello saw an advertisement in the Sunday Times for a block of ordered 4-Motion Golfs and dutifully placed an order. Six months later, a shiny new top of the range Golf was delivered from the supplying German VW dealer (Stucker) to the local London dealership in September 2000 and was registered with the ‘X’ Suffix.
The car was a labour of love for Mr Fugello and as such, benefits from a full service history, which is stamped in the service book. The car also has the original order forms and letters between Mr Fugello and the dealership in Germany, including build dates, agreed specifications, and cost price (equivalent today of c.£32, 000). He ordered it with a full leather interior, heated seats and original BBS alloys (£3k worth but do need a refurb now. There’s no others I’ve seen with these original alloys from VW), and kept it from 2000 until 2021.
The Golf drives spot on, and the 4 wheel drive is system is great, as is the engine. Its covered just 121, 000 miles from new, and still has the original rubber VW embossed mats - highly collectible on their own! There's a few marks and scratches due to age, but no dents or rust, which isn't bad for a 21 year old car. Has a DAB DVD system finished, but original CD unit is supplied.
Just had two new rear tyres and comes with x2 keys.
MOT until 28/ 10/ 22.
