PRiCE REDUCED. Fully restored over the past three years our beautiful Chummy has to go as we have bought a somewhat sportier Ulster replica. The car is totally original and comes with buff log books going all the way back to 1928, as well as a current V5 showing it’s great registration mark UP 850. Chassis and engine numbers match all log books and the body is undoubtedly original.
The original bodywork has been professionally painted in it’s original colour of primrose yellow over black, and the black leather interior rejuvenated with new covering to the door cards. All brightwork has been newly nickel plated and the speedometer professionally overhauled and calibrated. The wheels have likewise been overhauled and powder coated. The original hood and side screens have been rejuvenated too.
Mechanically the car is in fine fettle, having had a recent top end overhaul. The engine pulls cleanly and shows the correct oil pressure. It is still on it’s original magneto ignition although electrics have been upgraded to 12 volts for better starting and lights. It is fitted with a later SU carb although an original bronze Zenith and manifold come with it. The clutch has been overhauled and the original 3 speed crash gearbox works fine. Four wheel braking is courtesy of a linked cable system.
The Chummy has performed faultlessly on all the VSCC events we have done and will provide a new owner with many smiles per mile and admiring glances from all who see it.
