Think the time may have come to sell my 1996 GT-Four, (on ~135000 miles) absolutely loved having it the last 9 months but fancy a change!
As above, ive had the car for around 9 months, in which ive done about 10000 stress free miles! I bought the car off my dad who had it for just over a year, so been around it for quite a while
The car was recommissioned in 2020 with fairly extensive work being done including, but not limited to:
- New brake discs and pads all round
- New brake calipers
- New brake master cylinder
- ABS pump
- Brake fluid
- Brake lines
- Shocks
- Springs
- Full service including engine, gearbox and diff oil, spark plugs etc
- rust repair
In my ownership its been pretty much trouble free:
- Had the alternator/ aircon belt replaced a few months ago
- Rust repair on a bubbling arch
- Service done in September 2021 by Toyota Reading
- Service done in Jan 2022 by JPF Toyota
Standard car other than poweflow exhaust, Tein springs, an electronic boost controller set and limited to a safe 1. 1bar (fitted by JPF Toyota specialist), some rallyflapz mudflaps and a car play double din head unit
The car made 270bhp and 260lb. ft of torque at Surrey rolling road this month
The car is used on a 50 mile daily commute to Surrey and back and has never given me any issues, even calculated over 30mpg a few weeks ago... useful given the current petrol prices ????
The car has extensive history with receipts all the way back to 1998 and somewhere near £5000 being spent on it in the last 2 years getting it up to a great usable standard.
Only issue I can think to mention is it makes a weird buzzing noise for about 5 minutes on the first start of the day... which then dissappears
