My 1930 Sunbeam Model 9 Twin Port vintage motorcycle is up for sale. V%C in my name.
I spent years looking for the right model, with the right level of patina, and this is it.
This Marston Sunbeam is eligible for the Banbury run.
It has the hand change.
Twin port head for the sportier look.
The numbers are correct and I have the V5C in my name. I’ve had it a few years.
The engine cranks over with good compression and all of the parts are just as you would expect. The rider’s and pillion seats are the correct Lycetts saddles. They have an appropriate amount of wear without being tatty.
It’s for sale as a non-runner. There is no spark and I don’t have the time to fiddle about any more. When I bought it, the bike had been stored for many years having had a restoration. I imagine that the magneto needs to be re-magnetised. As far as I can tell, that is the only thing wrong with the bike.
Please have a good look at the pictures. They show you just how nice this Sunbeam model 9 is. If you are after a pristine bike with the paint like new, then this probably isn’t the bike for you unless you want to do the paint yourself. It has some marks and nicks but this motorcycle is no disaster zone. I bought it because it has some marks.
My bike is at post code PE28, near St Ives in Cambridgeshire.
